The Anatomy of the Aggie Ring, created by me alongside a couple hundred Aggies this past Ring Day, is meant to help fellow Aggies better understand the ring we wear every day, and the character we're called to represent as members of the Aggie Network.
The blueprint-style design draws inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci's technical sketches, reflecting the depth and history behind the Aggie Ring.
I wanted the ring itself to feel alive, like it's breaking through the canvas. To achieve that, I used a trompe-l'oil technique to create the illusion of depth and dimension on a flat surface.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do!
